ORAL PIERCING
LIP PIERCING
In lip piercings, we put labret jewelery usually 1.2 or 1.6mm thick. The rod must have extra length for swelling, and should be changed at the studio after about 3-4 weeks. You can change to a ring when the piercing has healed, after about 4 months.
TONGUE PIERCING
In the tongue we put a barbell from 1.6mm thickness. The rod will have some extra length for swelling, and should be changed at the studio after 3-4 weeks. The piercing is healed after 6-8 weeks.
SMILEY AND TONGUE TIE PIERCING
Not everyone has enough lip or tongue ties to be able to heal these locations, so be prepared that we will not necessarily pierce these on you. In addition, lip band jewelery in particular can cause wear and tear on the teeth and gums, so it is important to keep an eye on this if you have this piercing. They take 4-8 weeks to heal, and are mostly set with a 1.2mm ring.
CHIN PIERCING
We no longer pierce cheeks as there are too many complications with cheek piercings.
Cheek piercings are probably one of the most demanding placements to heal, and small infections are very common. It is difficult to estimate the growth time since most people find that the piercings still leak after several years. We state 6-12 months when we pierce these, but you have to clean them beyond this time.
